is LocalBiz ?
LocalBiz is the local business directory for you to find detailed
information about businesses in your local area. We know that
you are looking for comprehensive information about businesses
close to you, so we provide highly targeted and localized
information.
How
did we come about ?
LocalBiz came about due to the growing demand for a business
directory where visitors can find detailed, localized information
about businesses in New Zealand.
We
are here to help you ...
You are among hundreds of thousands of Kiwis using the Internet
every day. According to Nielsen/NetRatings, there are over
1 million Kiwis who actively use the Internet, and almost
2 million have access to it.
We are aiming and actively working towards making LocalBiz
your premiere local business directory on the Internet. We
are actively recruiting affiliates throughout New Zealand
who will help businesses in their local area to get listed
on LocalBiz.
What
makes LocalBiz different ?
Premium local business listings on LocalBiz contain a
large amount of detailed information about the business. The
large text description for the business is provided by the
business owner, who is able to change the description at any
time, at no additional cost. Among other things, this means
that Premium listings on LocalBiz should contain very up to
date information about specials and promotions for the business
in question.
Business listings on LocalBiz are organised by category and
are defined as belonging to a specific geographical region
(or zone). In this way, visitors to LocalBiz are able to view
listings specific to their local area, and you get a highly
targeted view of the information that you are trying to find.
How
does it work ?
We have made LocalBiz simple and easy for you to use.
At the top of each page on the LocalBiz web site, you will
see your current local zone. On pages where you are able to
change your local zone, there will also be a Change button,
so that you can change to a different zone.
On the left hand side of this page, you will see a list of
Categories. Choose the category that describes the type of
business that you are trying to find. A list of all businesses
in the directory that fall into that category and belong to
your current local zone will be displayed.
At the top left of this page, you will see a Search
box. To search for a business within your current local zone
simply enter a word in the Search box and click GO.
A list of all businesses in the directory matching your keyword
and belonging to your current local zone will be displayed.
Click on the 
symbol in a Premium listing to display the details page for
that business listing.
